Mana-Au Competition has brought in three new recruits for the 2025 FIM Endurance World Championship as it targets more progression in the headlining Formula EWC category.

Marco Fetz and fellow German Max Schmidt will join forces with French rider Alexis Lamiré in lining up for the Dunlop-equipped outfit, which continues to count on Honda power.

Fetz raced against Mana-Au Competition during the 2024 EWC season when he rode for Motobox Kremer Racing. As well as switching teams, Fetz is also changing motorcycle and tyre supplier for the upcoming campaign, which begins with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in France next month (17-20 April).

“At the beginning of last season we were faster but, at the Bol d’Or, they were faster,” said 25-year-old Fetz, who also raced in the IDM Superbike Championship in 2024. “The team has worked a lot on the bike and I have experience of the Dunlop tyre from Suzuka and in the past I also used the Dunlop tyre, so we can have a good feeling with this tyre. I’m very happy to be part of this team. Also, Honda has a good bike for this championship, especially because of the power it has on the straights. And more top speed makes it easier for me.”

Of his aims for the 2025 EWC season, Fetz has a clear target in mind: “A lot of ex-teams are coming back, like LRP and ERC, they will be very strong for sure. But we are a good team with fast riders. Max Schmidt has also joined the team and I know him well from the German championship, he’s a young guy and very fast. I hope with our new third rider we can go for the top eight. I am super-motivated and can’t wait to start.”

While Fetz has been building his EWC experience in recent seasons, Schmidt, 22, made a one-off appearance in the 2024 24 Heures Motos, helping the Metiss team win the Expérimental class. He’s also raced extensively in his homeland.

Twenty-five-year-old Lamiré, meanwhile, has started the 24 Heures Motos on four occasions and competed in the French Superbike Challenger category in 2024.

Mana-Au Competition finished 15th in the 2024 FIM Endurance World Championship for Teams with seventh place in the Bol d’Or its best result. It began its preparations for the 2025 season with tests in Spain earlier this month.

The 24 Heures Motos forms the opening round of the 2025 EWC season from 17-20 April. Ticket information is available HERE
